As the Silver Star Maternity Fund is one of the funds that make up the Oxford Hospitals Charity and is managed by them we do not publish a separate Annual Report.

We do however hope the following list of items and support we have recently funded is helpful.

Benefits

During the last 5 years the Silver Star Maternity Fund has purchased many items to improve care for patients and staff.

  • 6 CTG monitors

  • 2 room thermometers

  • 14 drop down beds have been installed on Levels 5 & 6 which enable patients partners to stay overnight to support during and after labour.

  • A TV has been installed in the Outpatients department along with a children’s DVD unit and activity table.

  • 2 x Blood pressure monitors.

  • 5 x Fetal sonic aids.

  • Ice & water machine.

  • Furniture for Outpatients and Family Rooms.

  • Laptop for presentations and staff education.

  • Gynae couch for Early Pregnancy Unit on Level 1

  • 10 x Midwifery bursaries

Our hope for the future is to fund more equipment and provide support to all maternity services here in Oxford.
